About this recipe: Green tea contains very powerful antioxidants. These destroy the free radicals in your blood stream, preventing them from prematurely aging your skin and damaging your eyes. In recent studies, it has been shown that chemicals in green tea can block molecules that play a key role in developing lung cancer. The antioxident 'EGCG', found in green tea, can inhibit or dramatically slow the growth of tumor cells. Asian, green tea-drinking communities do actually tend to have low rates of cancer. Green tea has powerful anti-bacterial properties, helping to control dental plaque, stimulate the immune system cells and help fight off infection. Diabetics can use green tea to regulate high blood sugar, while it can also help with high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol levels.

Serves: 2 

  • 300 ml (For 2 cup) Water
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Green Tea
  • 1/2 (small size) Lemon

  1. Pour 300 ml of water in Sauce pan and put it on stove.
  2. Add 3 tbsp sugar in water and leave it to dissolve properly.
  3. When sugar dissolve properly and starts boiling, add Green tea in it.
  4. Switch off the heat immediately after adding green tea in it.
  5. Cover Sauce pan with lid and leave it for 4-5mins.
  6. Pour it in 2 cups and add 10 drops of lemon in each.
  7. You can also add pinch of Cumin powder in it (optional) and serve.


Cumin powder can be added to improve the digestion (in case if you have indigestion)
