    Choorma is the dessert accompanying the famous Daal-Baati meal. I’ve never seen anyone stop after the first helping. Yum!!

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 cup wheat flour (atta)
    • 2 tablespoon ghee
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 cup khoya (mawa)
    • 2 teaspoon cardamom powder
    • 1 teaspoon almonds (chopped)
    • 1 teaspoon pistachios (chopped)
    • Ghee for frying

    1. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large round bowl. Mix a little hot ghee gently into the flour mixture.
    2. Add water and keep kneading the mixture into tight dough. Pull away small chunks of dough and roll them into small balls. Deep fry baatis in ghee on medium heat. Set aside to cools and crush them in blender into a coarse powder.
    3. Heat 1 table spoon ghee in a pan, roast khoya until it turns pink. Add the baati powder to it. Roast the mix for another 2 minutes. Add cardamom, almond and pista to it. Set aside to cool.
    4. Mix in the sugar when it cools down. Make ladoos from this mix or just take it in a bowl and enjoy a sweet treat.
