    These easy treats are great for dunking into chai on cold rainy days. The neighborhood kids decorated them in colours of the flag for a yummy and cool school project. You can change colours and patterns suitable to any festival. These make great gifts also. Happy Independence Day!

    • 175g plain flour
    • 5 tablespoons caster sugar
    • 175g butter

    1. Preheat oven to 150 C.
    2. Blend all ingredients well. Dough will be stiff.
    3. Press into a 23cm (9 in) buttered baking dish. Prick top with a fork. Bake until a pale golden brown on the edges, approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
