About this recipe: Feed an entire room full of hungry people with this easy and quick recipe! Put cheese for a veg dish and meat of choice for a non-veg option. Instead of oven, you can also make them on the tawa or frying pan. Just press the cheese filled chapati down with a katori.


Serves: 4 

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast fillets, cut into cubes
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 200g spreadable cream cheese, like Philadelphia
  • 1 300g jar of salsa
  • 8 large flour tortillas or chapatis
  • 2 green bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 250g grated Cheddar cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in large frying pan, sauté green pepper and spring onion for 3 minutes. Add chicken and cook until chicken is no longer pink in the middle. Set aside.
  4. In a medium sized bowl, mix cream cheese and salsa until well blended.
  5. Spread cream cheese/salsa mix on 4 of the tortillas.
  6. Place cooked chicken, green peppers and spring onions on top of mixture, and cover with grated Cheddar cheese.
  7. Place remaining 4 tortillas on top and cook on a nonstick baking tray until cheese is melted and the top is golden brown.
  8. Slice into quarters, serve and enjoy!!!
