Modak Recipe- Ganesh Chaturthi Special

Indian households often begin their search for a modak recipe in the days leading to the annual Hindu festival Ganesh Chaturthi. The modak is known to be the favorite food of the Hindu Elephant God, Lord Ganesh. In fact, Lord Ganesh is often lovingly referred to as Modakapriya (meaning the one who loves Modak) in Sanskrit. During the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, rituals are always concluded by an offering of modak made to Lord Ganesh.
