Vegetable Pulav

    A rice delight that is loaded with vegetables ,flavours with a fine spices, the Vegetable Pulao is one dish that is famous all over the world.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup chopped mixed vegetables french beans , carrot and green peas
    • 1 cup basmati rice , soaked for 15 minutes
    • 1 tbsp oil
    • 1 tbsp ghee
    • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
    • 1 laung
    • 1 elaichi
    • 1 small stick dalchini
    • 1 tejpatta
    • 1/2 cup sliced onions
    • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
    • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
    • 1 tsp green chilli paste
    • 1 tsp biryani masala powder
    • salt to taste
    • 2 Potatos

    Directions

    1. Heat the oil and ghee in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds, laung, elaichi, cinnamon and dalchini on a medium flame for 30 seconds
    2. Add the onions, ginger paste, garlic paste and green chilli paste on a medium flame for 1 minute
    3. Add water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 whistles
    4. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid
    5. Serve it with any Vegetable Curry or Raitha
