About this recipe: My version of a this vegetable which is typically used in making sambar. I make a spicy curry in true Rajasthani style.

Serves: 2 

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 6-8 long green chillies (chopped)
  • 1 medium kachra or dosakai (chppped and seeds removed)
  • 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • salt to taste

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds to it. When the seeds start to crackle, add green chilies to it.
  2. Season it with all the remaining masalas. Cook for 2 minutes. Add kachra to it and cook until kachra softens.
