About this recipe: This sweet is made specifically for Chirstmas.

Serves: 8 

  • 2 cups Grated coconut
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Cashewnut powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Rose essence
  • Color As desired

  1. In a deep vessel put in sugar, milk, grated coconut, cashewnut powder and 2 tablespoons of the butter.
  2. Put the gas on slow and stir till all the sugar has dissolved. Keep on stirring till soft ball stage. Put a drop into ice cold water and if it forms into a ball it is done.
  3. Add in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, essence and color of choice. Stir till the mixture is colored. Pour into buttered pans and smooth the top.
  4. Let cool and cut into pieces.
