About this recipe: Being the mango season. It is also a light and perfect curry..

Serves: 4 

  • 200 gms Green Mangoes cut into small pieces
  • 5 Red chillies
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tumeric Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Corriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 8 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 large Onion sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups Water or enough to cover the mangoes
  • Pinch of Sugar
  • Salt To taste

  1. Grind the chillies, tumeric powder, corriander, cumin and garlic together.
  2. In a teaspoon of oil put in the onions and fry till transparent. Then add the ground masala. Pour in 1 1/2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the Mangoes, cover and cook till tender. Add salt and a pinch of sugar.
