This is a dish that is eaten all season but especially during summer. Posto, the key ingredient in this dish helps your body rest and helps in getting a good sleep. I have never had this recipe, although I have had potato and egg mashes separately. I can only imagine how tasty the eggs and potatoes would be together!It is easy to make, especially when you do not like cooking.

Aloo Bhorta is a very traditional food item in the Bengali cuisine. I love making it on days when I do not feel like cooking. It is spicy, and great to have with steaming plain white rice. I also like having it with Masoor Dal.

Daata Aloo Bhaji is an everyday side dish that is not very spicy, but is rather quite light. It is healthy and easy to make. The bhaji is eaten with plain white rice or plain rootis. I personally like to mix in a bit of dal with rice :)

Data is a stem like common everyday vegetable in the Bengal. It is cut into slices as long as French fries. The Chingri Data Aloo Curry is not difficult, and is slightly spicy. The taste of fried shrimps with aloo and data is quite exquisite. It is eaten with plain white rice.

Aloo Paratha is delicious and is quite easy to make. It is a favorite to "aloo" lovers and it tastes great with ghee or butter spread. It can be eaten by itself. However, it is usually eaten with curry or bhaji.
Korolla bhaji
Bitter Gourd fry or Korolla Bhaji is an extremely healthy meal, especially for those suffering from diabetes. It is of course bitter, but I would say it is quite tolerable. Many people have it as a medicine. It is served with plain white rice.
