This is typical traditional Goan fish curry preparation. You can make this with any fleshy fish that will not disintegrate into the curry.

As there are varieties for fish curries avaiable. This is one of the traditional Kerala Red fish curry which can be served with rice or chappathi or kappa. I am using Gambooge(Brindleberry, Brindall berry, Malabar tamarind, Kodumpuli). Some of them use tamarind/tomato/raw mango instead of gambooge.
